This session will address the impact of immigration issues on student learning and mental health. Recent political issues have contributed to increased anxiety and worry among college students who are undocumented and many more with mixed-status or undocumented family members. The level of uncertainty these students face can disrupt their sense of safety, well-being, and ability to focus on academics. Even if students don't openly share these concerns, we can continue to provide an atmosphere of validation, support, and encourage help seeking on campus.
